Liquorice AllSOXKS #2
Roots are funny old things and we humans have a long history of gnawing on, boiling, and chopping any root that looks like it might be useful, and many more that don’t. Who would've thought, for example, that the humble liquorice root would become such a useful ingredient in both medicines and foodstuffs. In Italy it’s transformed into booze, the Chinese add it to hearty broths, and some Spaniards use it as a breath freshener. Meanwhile in England liquorice is most famous in its incarnation as a collection of multi-coloured sweets that would make Joseph and his Dreamcoat look dull. We designed these LiquoriceAllSOXKS in honour of the versatile qualities of this humble root, and as a wink, a nod, and a nudge to its colourful descendants.
